An Apron.

I used to make all sorts of things.

The creative elbow, or whatever you call it, was my daily delight.

Then business got busy, and a few items sold better than others so they got the focus.

Creating became secondary to functioning.

Making this apron and matching doll apron for my niece reminded me of how much fun it is.

Goal for 2010: Start sewing more for fun.

Great Gifts, Part 2: Paci Envy Personalized Paci Clip

Personalized and yet affordable.

Funny how those two rarely go together.

This is one of my favorite gifts to give, because of the personalization and multiple pattterns to choose from. It is also something they will actually use. Very important.

I can remember day after day picking up my son's pacifiers off the floor. With my first son, I always ran to the sink to wash it off before placing it back in his mouth.

With Number Two....not so much. I still wiped it down, but it depended on where we were if it got the full cleaning job.

Anyway.

Both of my kids had a severe attachment to their pacifiers which made this very handy.

This picture is taken when we went to the beach about a year ago. If there ever was a time for a pacifier clip, that was it. I love sand, but it is terrible to clean out of pacifiers.
The personalized name ring attaches with a snap, so sometimes we used it and sometimes we didn't. Best of all, we bought a couple of non-personalized ribbon clips and could switch the name to those ribbons as well.
At $10, this makes a great baby gift or Christmas present. 35 styles to choose from.

Great Gifts, Part 1: Ribbies Gift Sets

Sometimes companies give me things to give away, and I have a hard time letting them go. Last week was a prime example.

Sigh.

I have no girl. There are no wisps of hair to adorn with beautiful yet stylish bows. And yet my wish to hoard remains.

If you have a little girl, I think these clip sets are a great gift. Ribbies has done all the work for you in packaging like-designs together. Everything is meticulously done- from the packaging to the little bow with tag attached.

Fantastic little clips that let your child's face stand out more than the hair accessory. Retail for $14.

Week Four Winner

Congrats to Erica, our week four winner!

A great big thank you to all that participated in the Cyber Sales. I thank you for your business!

Side Note: I just added a bunch of "Bows for a Blessing". My friend Michelle's parents gave her blessing money last Christmas--money to spend to bless another family in some way. As she explained it, they felt so rewarded through giving, they decided to do it again this year by making hair bows for sale.

I have seen them in person, and these are a great deal. 100% of the sale goes towards adopting a family for Christmas.
