An Apron.

I used to make all sorts of things.

The creative elbow, or whatever you call it, was my daily delight.

Then business got busy, and a few items sold better than others so they got the focus.

Creating became secondary to functioning.

Making this apron and matching doll apron for my niece reminded me of how much fun it is.

Goal for 2010: Start sewing more for fun.

Great Gifts, Part 2: Paci Envy Personalized Paci Clip

Personalized and yet affordable.

Funny how those two rarely go together.

This is one of my favorite gifts to give, because of the personalization and multiple pattterns to choose from. It is also something they will actually use. Very important.

I can remember day after day picking up my son's pacifiers off the floor. With my first son, I always ran to the sink to wash it off before placing it back in his mouth.

With Number Two....not so much. I still wiped it down, but it depended on where we were if it got the full cleaning job.

Anyway.

Both of my kids had a severe attachment to their pacifiers which made this very handy.

This picture is taken when we went to the beach about a year ago. If there ever was a time for a pacifier clip, that was it. I love sand, but it is terrible to clean out of pacifiers.
The personalized name ring attaches with a snap, so sometimes we used it and sometimes we didn't. Best of all, we bought a couple of non-personalized ribbon clips and could switch the name to those ribbons as well.
At $10, this makes a great baby gift or Christmas present. 35 styles to choose from.

Great Gifts, Part 1: Ribbies Gift Sets

Sometimes companies give me things to give away, and I have a hard time letting them go. Last week was a prime example.

Sigh.

I have no girl. There are no wisps of hair to adorn with beautiful yet stylish bows. And yet my wish to hoard remains.

If you have a little girl, I think these clip sets are a great gift. Ribbies has done all the work for you in packaging like-designs together. Everything is meticulously done- from the packaging to the little bow with tag attached.

Fantastic little clips that let your child's face stand out more than the hair accessory. Retail for $14.

Week Four Winner

Congrats to Erica, our week four winner!

A great big thank you to all that participated in the Cyber Sales. I thank you for your business!

Side Note: I just added a bunch of "Bows for a Blessing". My friend Michelle's parents gave her blessing money last Christmas--money to spend to bless another family in some way. As she explained it, they felt so rewarded through giving, they decided to do it again this year by making hair bows for sale.

I have seen them in person, and these are a great deal. 100% of the sale goes towards adopting a family for Christmas.

Thanks again for entering and Happy Thanksgiving!

Week Three Winner announced

Via Random.org, the winner is....
#36 Kate!

Congrats! I will get your items out to you tomorrow. Thanks to all for participating. Next week is the final giveaway beofre the big Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deal, so please be sure to enter that one too!

Cyber Monday (November 30th)

It's right around the corner, folks! That's right....Cyber Monday. I am so excited this year to offer some of my favorite baby products at 20% off.

THE LIST- Each of these will be 20% off on Cyber Monday
Julian and Co.- makes the most beautiful silver jewelry; gorgeous gift idea. I wear the galleria necklace. Every outfit I choose it looks great with, and I love that both of my sons names are engraved around the circle. Tania makes stunning jewelry, versatile yet affordable. With personalization galore on the front and back, this makes the perfect gift for moms and grandmas. I have been drooling over these new lockets for weeks.
Just as a little FYI, Julian and Co. also offers other engraved products- cuff links, keychains, ID bracelets for kids.

Made by Angie Wipes Cases- I am not ashamed to admit I have three of these- one to match each diaper bag. Angie picks the coolest prints. You will love the looks of it and feel like the chic mom you are when pulling out a wipe. Never does it come out without receiving a compliment on how fashionable it is, solidifying my place as baby product hoarder extraordinaire:-)

Resa Design Changing Pads-so many things I love about these changing pads. As I mentioned above, I love to have beautiful things in my diaper bag. It makes the job of cleaning up after kids...well, just better. Pulling out one of those thin, plastic PVC changing pads that comes free with the diaper bag is just not my style. I love that the Resa Design pad rolls up for easy diaper bag storage, handy just when needed most. Whether is it a public restroom or on the floor at Grandmas, it is nice to have such a luxurious and stylish changing pad at your fingertips.

JEMOS shoes- these soft leather shoes are already a great deal. Environmentally friendly, the owners of this company use all leather remnants to make these shoes. Each one comes in an adorable box with a finger puppet, ready for gifting. I love both the fit and looks of these shoes. They are detailed and come in the greatest colors for boys and girls.

The Ally Zabba- I have not carried this blanket long, but it has quickly rose to my best seller list. No one can order just one- they are a cherished baby gift, and are so soft and cuddly. These have never been on sale before at MiniMe BabyGear, so I am excited to be offering them for 20% off. You will love this blanket!

Lily Bugs- I was unsure if my sons would really take to these bottle and sippy covers from Lily Bugs. I thought they were great, but my little guy is sort of the "no-fuss" kind of kid. Never one to like extras, he quickly pulls tags off all the stuffed animals. I just wondered if he would love something so fun on his sippy cup. He does! I love that they make little crinkle sounds or squeak when you hold onto them, and wish I would have tried one when my kids were babies. I am sure they would have loved them when they were holding a bottle by themselves.
I have a few other things that will be on sale (they are a secret for now), so you will just have to check back on Monday the 30th to see what they are. The first 25 customers will also be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to MiniMe BabyGear.
As a reminder, free shipping over $100, and a free gift with every purchase. Happy Shopping!

Finally

Have you ever started a project, thinking it would go one way, and then it completely changed course? That is how I have felt about The Cuter Cloth Designer Diapers.

My partner, Katie, and I knew we wanted something classic and chic looking. We wanted it to be really easy to use and highly functional. We needed it to be durable since we have active kids, and wanted it to grow with our children and be able to fit a broad range of body types. Interesting enough, we both initially loved pocket diapers.

That is, until we purchased and used almost every cloth diaper on the market.

What we found is that neither of us really loved fishing a pee-filled insert out of a pocket diaper. Same thing with all-in-one diapers. We loved the convenience of not having to stuff pockets, but hated how long they took to dry. Sample after sample we produced; and nothing was perfect. We spent hours pouring over diapers looking at the various elements and trying to figure out what we could do to improve them.

I am really excited about what we came up with, and I know you will be too.

The insert is made of 4 layers of antibacterial hemp, topped with 2 layers of soft cotton velour to wick moisture away from skin. The velour and hemp are only attached at the ends, so it will dry quicker than one solid insert, while still giving the protection and absorbency. The entire insert snaps right into the pretty shell, so that all you need to do when it is time to wash them is unsnap and throw together in the wash.

Aren't they pretty?

We love how they turned out and excited to hear what you think.

Please note: we only are running small quantities at first, so if you do not get the diaper this first round, please get on the newsletter list. We will notify of future stockings and any specials we are running. There are only 6 left from this batch, so please hurry if you are interested.
